Dr. Phillips/Bay Hill Area

The area known simply as "Dr. Phillips" encompasses some of the county's most prestigious homes.  Exclusive homes line the fairways at the world-famous Bay Hill Club and Lodge, which is golf legend Arnold Palmer's own recreational master-piece and "home" turf.

A pleasing selection of townhomes, condominiums, and single family homes in a variety of price ranges combine with public schools that enjoy an excellent reputation.  The Dr. Phillips area is located just 10 minutes from Disney World and other key attractions.  Orlando International Airport is just a 20-minute drive from home.

Although the area takes its name from Dr. Phillip Phillips, a citrus industry pioneer who once owned thousands of acres of orange groves , it was defense and tourism industries that were responsible for most of the growth over the past 30 years.  The area has managed to preserve an exceptional quality of life through the constant updating of infrastructure and controlled growth.

Kissimmee, the heart of Florida. A charming, distinctive area that’s part of one of the world’s most popular vacation destinations and just south of Orlando, Kissimmee deserves your exploration.

Located in Central Florida, Lake Nona is one impressive community. It’s a place that offers incredible amenities combined with diverse workplaces and real estate options. A community where an abundance or retail and entertainment choices live harmoniously next to a medical and biotechnology park of monumental proportions. Where education ranges from kindergarten to graduate level and, to top it all off, over 40% of the area if left green, with 44 miles of paved and unpaved trails for biking, hiking and exploring nature.

Longwood’s Historic District encompasses roughly 190 acres and has 37 contributing structures.  It became part of the National Register of Historic Places in October 1990. The District, the heart and soul of the city, is well hidden near the intersection of State Road 434 and County Road 427.

Describing this area as “quaint” would be a major understatement. In addition to the Longwood Hotel, the Historic District boasts a handful of historic structures, including the 1873 Inside Outside House (now home to a small business called Culinary Cottage), the 1879 Christ Episcopal Church and the 1885 Bradlee-McIntyre House, a former winter cottage and fine example of Queen Anne-style architecture. The Historic District also contains City Hall and a number of city administration buildings, as well as a new 10,000-square-foot, $1.4-million Community Building. In addition, a couple of specialty stores and boutiques can be found here.

One of the major goals of city officials is to attract more residents and visitors to this charming area.

Metrowest

Metrowest is an urban village where residents can play golf on a championship course, carry on business dealings, and live comfortably or luxuriously in a quality master-planned community.  Attractive enclaves of single-family homes blend with prestigious townhomes and condominiums to offer a selection of housing options.

The local golf course, (one of my favorites), was designed by legendary Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and is considered one of the Southeast's finest examples of the master's work.  Close to Orlando International Airport and major highways, Metrowest draws businesses and commercial activity as well as new residents.  Situated between downtown Orlando to the north and the cluster of international attractions to the south, the area has become very popular with young professionals.

Maitland

Known for its natural beauty, crystal lakes, fine museums, art center, and civic center, the community of Maitland has chosen "Partners in Progress through Participation" as its motto.  The town is justly proud of its recognition as one of the top neighborhoods in Central Florida.  The city has welcomed a number of corporations and businesses as well as residential growth in recent decades.  The handsome Maitland Center is now one of the largest office parks in the region, home to an impressive number of Fortune 500 companies and leading corporations.

Civic pride and a commitment to preserving a high quality of life are very evident throughout the community.  The town consistently invests in renovations that strike a fine balance between the preservation of historic sites an ensuring a progressive, modern atmosphere.  Parks accented with brick sidewalks and street scape beautification like decorative crosswalks abound.  The local Cultural Corridor provides an array of events and performances.

Only one destination on the planet combines a tropical climate and relaxed lifestyle with the world's most popular tourist attractions.  Orlando stands in a class of its own as a desireable place to live as well as visit, brimming over with amenities that guarantee an unrivaled quality of life.

Those who venture into Orlando beyond our world-famous tourist attractions quickly realize that this is a uniquely "livable" community.  Distinctive, brick streets and tree lined neighborhoods; year round outdoor recreation; proximity to beaches, lakes, springs, parks and trails; world-class entertainment options; closets free of winter coats, scarves and gloves...all contribute to an environment that most never want to leave once they've called it their home.  In fact, companies of all types and sizes find that our unparalleled quality of life enhances employee recruitment and retention.

The Town of Windermere is located in southwest Orange County fourteen miles southwest of Orlando, six miles southeast of Winter Garden, two miles south of Ocoee, and approximately six miles north of Walt Disney World.

Windermere is surrounded by sand bottom lakes.  Lake Butler (the largest) is on the west, Lake Down on the east, and Lake Bessie on the southeast.  By means of a system of canals, Butler, Down and six other lakes are connected to form what is known as the Butler Chain.  Windermere is a lovely small town that will continue to be limited in population growth by available land.

Located west of Orlando, this charming city of Winter Garden is a community of older, wood-frame homes and a downtown district highlighted by red brick streets, spreading oaks and an old railroad depot. Stroll down Plant Street in the Historic Downtown District and witness the renaissance of a vibrant community. Art studios and live theatre, bicycle stores and flower shops, and a wide range of restaurants flank the West Orange Trail.
Recent years have seen a movement toward the fast-paced development of its neighbors to the east with subdivisions of houses and the accompanying infrastructure replacing citrus and agricultural facilities.

Winter Park

Long considered to be one of the most desireable addresses in Central Florida, Winter Park has been experiencing a wave of new construction and revitalization of historic areas.  In some cases, developers are choosing to raze older buildings and replace them with luxurious new homes - some that surpass the $1 million price range.  Handsome new residential villages can include exceptional amenities like lakefront parks, Olympic-size pools, and tranquil nature preserves.

Winter Park offers several amenities that are unusual for a smaller town, including Rollins College.  This highly respected, private, liberal arts college with its lush campus enriches the entire community educationally, culturally, and economically.

One of the world's most comprehensive collections of the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany is housed in the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art.  Aficionados of shopping are drawn to Park Avenue, a quaint district where an oak-shaded park and bandstand are surrounded by art galleries, museums, clothing stores, retail outlets, and many wonderful boutiques.
